You Drop It, You Drop In

  • In a light-hearted attempt to reduce the number of dropped catches this season, we'll be running a 'Catches Game'.

2008 Social Events

  • The club's Pre-Season dinner will be on Thursday 1st May.
  • The ever-baffling Quiz Night will be held on Friday 6th June.
  • After last year's excellent fun & games, another Club Day will be held in the summer, on Sunday 20th July.
  • Proposed outing to the Dogs on Monday 21st July.
  • Cricket Week is going ahead again and should follow on after Club Day, so Monday 21st to Friday 25th July.

The Hundred Club

After a delayed start we are ready once again to launch the 2008 Southend on Sea Cricket Club 100 Club.

Fill in the application form and the standing order form required to join the club. SOSCC benefited greatly from last years Hundred Club and would benefit even further if we could encourage more members to join this year.

The format is simple:

You buy into the club for £5.00 a month. For this you get an allocated number for the 12 month period, then every month a draw is made by the Chairman of the club and three winners are drawn. The prizes will be as follows (assuming we get 100 people):

The month prize money is as follows (assuming we get 100 members):

Months 1 to 3 (May to July),
5 to 7 (September to November) and
9 to 12 (January to April):
1st - £110
2nd - £50
3rd - £25

Months 4 and 8 (August and December):
1st - £325
2nd - £175
3rd - £75
